Philosophy : Tutoring opportunities at EBV are used exclusively for EBV students who need additional help in any academic area. It is the purpose of tutoring to enable the student to reach a level of mastery and understanding in the chosen curriculum in meeting his/her personal needs, as well as to fulfill the mission of Escuela Bella Vista for the tutored student. This tutoring is held on the EBV campus.

Process :

1. Teachers, parents and/or students wishing to have tutoring services for pupils must present their request to the Counselor.

2. The Counselor will present the request to the Student Services Team for approval.

3. Upon approval of the Student Services Team, the Counselor will determine the assigned tutor, the location of the tutoring class and the number of lessons required per week.

4. The tutor assigned to any student(s) will present a weekly written update to the classroom Teacher, Student Services Team and Management Team on the progress being made by each pupil. This report is due each Monday.

5. Upon receiving input received from the tutor, the Student Services Team reserves the right to increase, decrease or stop the tutoring services being given.

6. All tutoring requests are required to be channeled through the Student Services Team.

Tutoring Charges :

Escuela Bella Vista will not charge individual tutors who are employees of EBV for the use of the room, utilities, chalk, pencils or capital equipment.

It is understood that no school supplies, other than those assigned to the pupil being tutored, will be used in the tutoring process.

Tutors are required to forward a weekly income sheet to the Management Team, together with the weekly written update note
