Building tomorrows leaders today!

Student-council members are the voice of the student body. Typically, there will be a representative for each high school grade level. A student-council member's job is to be in touch with the individuals he represents, and to communicate their wishes to school administrators at various levels.

Knowing the feelings of the student body is also necessary when planning events like pep rallies, family fun night, fund-raising activities and community-involvement projects.

Student councils must consider the feelings and wishes of the students they represent, as well as the feelings and wishes of the administrators with whom they must work. This balancing act involves learning to work with a variety of individuals, and is excellent experience for students, who intend to pursue leadership careers.
