• Internet safety, netiquette, copyright and plagiarism are reinforced at all grade levels.
• Keyboarding essentials are taught and reinforce from 3rd throughout 8th grade.
• Technology specific vocabulary depending on the grade level will be introduced and applied.

Technology Department Philosophy

We believe technology can significantly enhance the quality of teaching and learning. Learners have different educational needs and technology allows for differentiation in the classroom. Technology-based activities help shape authentic, memorable experiences which can increase student learning and motivation to learn. Students who are skilled in using technology in accomplishing tasks will be better prepared for the future. Technology provides scaffolding for thinking and cognitive prompts which help learners understand complex concepts and acquire problem solving skills. Technology has the potential to support much broader collaboration and communication among teachers and others outside the school walls.
