Fine and Performing Arts Philosophy

The Fine and Performing Arts Department at Escuela Bella Vista includes the visual arts, vocal and instrumental music. We believe the creative process encourages learners to reach their maximum potential. The arts enhance every aspect of education from reading to critical thinking, social skills and motivation. The arts supports the development of transdisciplinary skills such as reading, writing, and oral expression skills across the curriculum. The arts foster 21st century skills that include creativity, communication, and collaboration. The main responsibility of art to society is the formation of a world view that promotes thoughtful reasoning. We are actively engaged in preparing our children for a future of big ideas.
